Actually, that’s totally untrue. I know exactly what happened.
1) I had company
2) I finished the first draft of my novel
3) I spent a full day talking about forensics at a local junior/senior high
4) I researched and wrote the first chapter and outline for a new kids’ science book
5) I collapsed from exhaustion
More detail on all of those things will follow, but it will likely be a couple more weeks before posting resumes its regular thrice-weekly schedule. I’ve got a trip coming up first of May and a handful of deadlines to complete before then. If you miss me, pop by Facebook or Twitter, which take me less time than writing blog posts, and are therefore easier to justify while scrambling to meet deadlines.
What have you been up to lately? Smooth sailing, or is life catching up to you this month? Any tips for digging your way out of a deadline dog pile? I’m all ears!
Good for you, Lindsey, You are one of a number of social media friends I know who’ve pulled back recently, me included. We’ll all be here when you return and eager to hear of your endeavors.
Thanks, Janet! Sometimes you just have to accept the fact that you really can’t do everything, and that definitely happened to me this month. Balance is an elusive thing, especially in the face of opportunity!
