Mmm…. popcorn. It’s a favourite treat around this house. It has also been dinner on more than one occasion, because we don’t have kids, and therefore don’t have to worry about setting a bad example. 😀
And according to daysoftheyear.com, today is Popcorn Day, which means popcorn for dinner is not just legit, it’s mandatory.
Want to join the celebration? Here’s my favourite homemade dill seasoning mix. Substitute a smaller volume of stevia to make it sugar free.
Or, you could do the experiment in chapter 1 of Fuzzy Forensics, which involves counting jelly bean “animals” in a forest of popcorn. Science – both educational and delicious!
What’s your favourite flavour of popcorn? Other than eating, what’s your favourite use for it? Share in the comments!
My favorite way to eat popcorn is with Junior Mints. Haha! Happy popcorn day!
Ooh, that brings back movie theatre memories!
Sadly, popcorn gets stuck in my teeth and is a bit of an undertaking to remove (floss, etc.), so I have to pick my moments and places. Home-popped popcorn with real butter and sea or Himalayan salt is always good. Dill sounds good as well. My son would go for something spicy.
Happy Popcorn Day!
We have a stove top popper – the result is better than movie theatre, plus I can control for my food allergies. Happy Popcorn Day!
Movie popcorn doesn’t use real butter and has too much salt anyway 😉
