It’s Not the Holidays Without Bath and Body Works’ Twisted Peppermint

December 1, 2016

bath and body works collection

My Bath and Body Works stockpile – because a zombie apocalypse is no reason not to smell nice.

December 1 – the day I switch on the twinkle lights and start playing Christmas Carols. Also the day I switch from whatever Bath and Body Works scent I’ve been using all fall to my holiday favourite – Twisted Peppermint.

Twisted Peppermint has been a tradition for six or seven years now, ever since the Christmas that my Sister of the Traveling Chocolate gave me a bottle of body lotion and a travel size of the antibacterial moisturizer. I only use them one month a year, so I’m still working through those same two bottles. Not only does the delicious candy cane scent put me in the holiday spirit, but every time I use it, I think of her. Total bonus, especially now that our houses are separated by almost all of Canada.

What’s your favourite holiday scent? What other traditions are guaranteed to get you in a holiday mood? Share your stories in the comments!

  1. I was going to say, Bath and Body Works gets me hooked on a scent and then they don’t ever bring it back! Good idea to only use it sparingly and make it last.

Traditions? Getting the tree up, Christmas carols and something we call “Christmas Cake,” which is our version of fruit cake, but made with gumdrops instead of candied fruit. And fudge. Can’t forget the fudge!

Merry Christmas! Enjoy the yummy smell and thoughts of your sister! (Sisters are the best, aren’t they?)

    1. That happened to me with a Victoria’s Secret scent once. I’ve been hoarding it for special occasions ever since!

We’re doing the tree this weekend and cookies the next! Enjoy your Christmas Cake!
