The Fuzzy Forensics book tour launches is less than a week and I’m up to my eyeballs in last-minute details, so today’s post will be a brief tribute to a friend of mine who’s also touring Canada this summer, Melanie Gall. I’ve known Melanie since her karaoke parties in high school, and I say with great authority, if you have a chance to see her perform, do it. Like many of my creative friends, she’s slightly crazy, but obscenely talented. She’s touring right now with her Fringe shows Opera Mouse and Red Hot Mama: A Sophie Tucker Cabaret.
If you can’t see her live, check out her knitting podcast, or her albums of wartime knitting music, Knitting All the Day and Sweeter in a Sweater.
How about you? What are you up to this weekend?
